Today I had a great meeting at The Mayor's Office with Matt Morrissey from the NB EDC, Bruce Smith from CRI, Briana Blood, our youth coach, and the Athletic Directors from 3 area high schools. Ryan Silvia from Bishop Stang High School, Jeff Caron from Dartmouth High School, and Mike Correia from New Bedford High School were all there. We missed Voc-Tech and Fairhaven but I'm sure we'll get to meet with them at some point too.
Hopefully we'll get some steady access to the kids on campus and that will help with our recruiting. We're looking for any and all kids that would like to try rowing - especially kids that haven't ever done sports before. You don't have to be a major athlete or know how to row at all! We can teach you everything you need to know.
Any other schools that have kids interested - we'd LOVE to get you involved as well!
